Director, RDP Administration Capabilities
Role Purpose
Define and implement the customer administration experience on the platform with focus on Self-service Provisioning, Entitlements and Digital Rights Management
The Director of RDP Administration Capabilities will be responsible for driving (a) Investment plan and roadmap for administration capabilities, including next gen DACS, DRM, Self-service provisioning and consistent UI’s and tooling; (b) Investment plan for core platform capabilities including identity and access, authorization and entitlements, and usage collection; and (c) Integration of usage data to platform metering and throttling, API controls, and business intelligence capabilities.
The Director of RDP Administration Capabilities will report to the Head of Platform Capabilities) and be responsible for driving the overall Refinitiv platform administration experience. This will include API’s to access platform user and content license administration, access to entitlements and usage data, and tooling and systems fully supporting self service capabilities consistently across the Refinitiv Data Platform.
The role will provide commercial leadership for RDP administration and drive execution across Product Management and Technology, Marketing, and our Sales and Market development teams to establish clear short term and long term delivery plans for administration on the Refinitiv Data Platform.
The successful candidate will combine strong entrepeneurial spirit, enthusiasm for data management technologies, solutions, ontologies and architecture,and an ability to develop, communicate, and lead with a strong vision grounded in customer perspective and commercial sensibility.
Candidate should have an ability to collaborate and work effectively in a matrix organization with many partners and stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Commercial leadership for Refinitiv Data Platform administration capabilities
- Ongoing optimization of administration investment and prioritization to achieve commercial and strategic goals of Refinitiv end user segments.
- Articulation to internal and external stakeholders on segment strategy and roadmap.
- Development and articulation of the value proposition for administration capabilities on the Refinitiv Data Platform, and their role in accelerating revenue growth.
- Development and articulation of the value proposition for usage data collection capabilities on the Refinitiv Data Platform, and their role in creating commercial flexibility and enforcement, product intelligence, and client administrative value.
- Drive innovation and differentiation across new and existing propositions, product lines and or services to better address current and future client needs.
- Make strategic trade-offs to provide commercial offerings and services with predictability and transparency
- Influence client communications and go-to-market strategies for new product developments and enhancements.
- Work in combination with product management and development to assess whether goals are best accomplished by building, buying or entering into partnership in order to address market/technical requirements, alongside time-to-market considerations.
- Support business teams as required for key client presentations and strategy updates.
- Ensure communication and cross-group collaboration, including client requirement vetting and feedback gathering on new and existing propositions, products and services.
- Lead cross product, proposition and Development prioritization
- Continue to challenge, grow and upgrade the Product organization.
- Develop talent across the company.
- Review current products to ensure alignment with commercial objectives, customer need, and competitive positioning.

Knowledge & Skill
Level of knowledge and application of skills.
- Proven ability to establish broad commercial and product vision and lead them to execution from funding through launch and ongoing.
- Experience and depth of understanding of how financial content is licensed, managed and sold across a wide variety of data sets ranging from exchanges through OTC venues to 3rd party content providers.
- Background in building administrative and self service capabilities for multi tenant service platforms, particularly in a financial service environment
- Experience in the development and leverage of usage data collection for multipurpose utility – ranging from service metering to business intelligence.
- Demonstrated technical curiousity and continuous learning – familiarity with cloud solutions and cloud migration trends, application development and deployment and an appreciation for modern systems design and architecture patterns.
- Financial industry knowledge from both a customer and vendor perspective.
- Proficiency in product commercialization, marketing and product launch
- Ability to drive a direct and indirect team to execute strategy.
- Superior client engagement skills, including proven ability to build and manage senior client relationships.

- Strong track record of end-to-end product on multiple complex projects involving global, cross functional teams.
- Demonstrated ability to understand commercial, technological and strategic drivers in order to execute strategy.
- Significant industry and/or senior product management experience involving more than one major/discrete target client segment.
- Demonstrated prior experience setting and executing on the strategy for a portfolio of products.
