Director of Information Technology

Spaulding Medical is a medical device manufacturer in the cardiac field. We provide cardiovascular medical devices and services to the health care industry locally and internationally. As a young ‘spinout’ company we are growing quickly and are looking for a self-starting individual with an entrepreneurial style with experience and expertise as an IT Department Leader developing and maintaining IT infrastructure, security, risk management and external interfaces and access. This position offers the opportunity to be a part of a company on the front lines of pairing an innovative technology with ECG medical devices. This position will work with the Chief Innovation Officer and Founder on developing and maintaining our information technology infrastructure for all stake holders of Spaulding Medical.

The Director of Information Technology plays a key role within Spaulding Medical, by interfacing directly with customers at all levels, both internally and externally, and other peers to provide life-cycle support of applications and infrastructure that contribute to the development of new concepts, techniques, and standards. This senior level hands on role performs as the senior architect, team supervisor, vendor relationship manager and external liaison which allows Spaulding Medical to provide flexible and scalable customer solutions that improve access to care, clinical workflows, user experience, and interoperability to cardiac professionals.

Director of Information Technology Will Do:

• Provide overall information technology leadership within Spaulding Medical.
• Responsible for deploying and maintaining a high-performing, secure and reliable technical infrastructure.
• Develop and manage the department’s budget, personnel, policies, and service delivery metrics.
• Implement appropriate procedures, systems, and assurances to satisfy all external agency requirements and safeguards.

Director of Information Technology Tool Sets:

• 3+ years of managing an IT team.
• 8+ years of IT Engineering experience.
• Experience within the Microsoft infrastructure environment, as well as VPN and routing protocols.
• Expertise with current security solutions and business contingency planning.
• Excellent communication skills and leadership style that demonstrates a drive for outstanding performance.
