Summary:

The Director of Corporate Agribusiness Lending CAL Origination is a mid-level management position that oversees a team of 4-6 across the association’s 5 locations. The CAL Origination team is responsible for the loan documentation and quality control of complex loans that include participations sold and participations purchased. This position will lead the originations team, ensure the consistency, accuracy of documentation and ensure compliance. The Director of CAL Origination will work cross-functionally with other Directors.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Agriculture, Finance, Business or related field
  • Minimum of five years’ of lending experience in the agribusiness or finance industry, or a similar experience in agricultural credit or closely related field
  • Minimum of three years’ supervising teams
  • Ability to pass a credit, background and reference check.


Knowledge and Skills

  • Expert knowledge of loan documentation processes and procedures
  • Expert knowledge of underwriting standards
  • Working knowledge of applicable state, federal and FCA regulations
  • General knowledge of Continuous Process Improvement techniques
  • Skills in working with and understanding the concepts of loan participations and syndications
  • Skill in analyzing constructed loan packages to comply with Association policies and Federal regulations
  • Skill in preparing and perfecting loan documents
  • Skill in developing and monitoring internal controls
  • Skill in developing and monitoring processes which ensure regulatory compliance
  • Skill in selecting, managing, coaching, motivating and developing a team
  • Skill in utilizing MS Office to increase efficiency and effectiveness
  • Skill in oral and written communication, sufficient to exchange information effectively with team members, peers, supervisors and customers


At the discretion of FCNM, position may be offered at alternate titles and other business experience may be considered relevant.
