StockX is seeking an analytical and data-driven Director of International Growth & Operation to drive growth strategy for key international markets. This person will have an entrepreneurial spirit, who is also a mature leader and a team player, that can influence up and down a distributed organization, especially at senior levels. Reporting to the VP/GM of International, this person will lead the International Growth and Operation team, managing a small team of business analysts and project managers.
StockX’s international business is in high growth mode and we are seeking a detail-oriented leader that can also Think Big, and is comfortable operating across functional lines to drive business growth. This team is responsible for analyzing user behavior to discover business opportunities, evaluating the performance of initiatives, launching new international locations, improving operational efficiencies, managing resource allocation, and working with in-country GMs to measure business profitability.
In this highly visible role, the result-driven leader will be a strategic partner for senior international leaders to help improve the P&L and business efficiency for StockX’s largest global markets.
Responsibilities:
We are seeking an all-around superstar who will help define StockX’s international business – including prioritizing marketing spend, improving complex real-time commerce operations, setting up new international operation, identifying strategic business opportunities, executing market-specific strategic initiatives, and monitoring the health of our international businesses.
- A key member of StockX’s international leadership team
- Responsible for identifying cross-border trends to drive business improvements
- Develop growth strategy for each target market as well as cross-regional initiatives
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to facilitate the growth of the target markets
- Create and own business models to investigate growth initiatives
- Conduct research and due diligence to support business theories
- Develop and own business reports that monitors the health of business
- Follow industry and/or business trends that may result in business opportunities
- Manage international rollout projects and ensure regional needs are met
- Partner with international GMs to increase cross-regional collaboration to unlock growth
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in cross-border e-commerce, digital marketplace, consumer internet, consulting, or other related fields, at least 3+ years managing a team and business operations
- Entrepreneurial drive and ability to be hands-on to drive business changes
- Experience with financial modeling and business intelligence tools
- Highly effective in execution with limited resources, driving efficient growth
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills and ability to perform a wide range of duties
- Strong understanding of performance data with demonstrated experience using data and trends to develop winning strategies
- Capability to work cross-functionally with global teams across partnerships, product, engineering, business development, marketing, and other teams
- Demonstrated ability to excel in a start-up environment with a passion for StockX
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational skills including attention to details and multitasking
Preferred Qualifications:
- BA/BS in appropriate field is required and MBA is strongly preferred
- International working experience strongly preferred
- Familiarity or willingness to learn about with key Asian markets
- Familiarity with sneaker and streetwear trends
