As the R&E Business Resource Manager for Earthmoving, you will be responsible for providing financial guidance and coaching to Earthmovings Engineering General Manager. Additionally, the position provides financial guidance for Earthmovings portion of the Enterprise Component Strategy (ECS) and support for the Reduced Purchased Material (RPM) initiative. The team includes 5 Finance professionals.

Job Duties/Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:


  • Providing business analysis support for the R&E Organization, ECS, and RPM initiatives. This includes target costs, cost monitoring, new product introduction analysis, value chain analysis, investment analysis, sourcing analysis, product costing.
  • Accountable for division’s monthly R&E reporting and compliance
  • Providing analysis of business statements to assist managers in managing R&E and material costs.
  • Participating in strategy development to improve accountable profit results
  • Ensuring compliance with the unit’s Business Risk Management governance process and Sarbanes-Oxley internal controls by ensuring effective and adequate documentation of analysis for the R&E organization.


Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in an Accounting or Finance related discipline

  • 9-12 years of progressively responsible Accounting or Finance related experience
Desired Qualifications:

  • MBA, Certified Accountant, or Master’s degree in a business related field
  • Strong background in accounting, cost accounting, and budget development
  • Strong analytical skills are required to perform detailed financial analysis and prepare strategic plans
  • Excellent interpersonal skills are required in order to deal with sensitive issues, develop others, or persuade others inside and outside the department to take specific action

  • Strong communication skills

  • Ability to work independently with team in multiple locations.

  • Use of business systems such as Bobj, BPC, PAC2, and Axiom

  • Knowledge of the Caterpillar organization, its products, policies and procedures
