Associate – Scrum Master


Summary:

In the Agile Scrum Master role, you’ll serve as the servant leader for your team(s) by ensuring clear communication and helping the team reach its goal. The Scrum Master will drive the appropriate Agile methodology (Scrum/Kanban) focused on predictable, quality delivery and driving continuous improvement of the team. The Scrum Master will facilitate team productivity by removing impediments that may obstruct the pursuit of the team’s goals and by preserving flexibility and ability to rapidly respond to changes on the team.


General Responsibilities:

  • Serves as scrum master for two or more teams
  • Ensures team maintains focus on quality and continuous delivery
  • Establishes a safe environment where the team can be effective and self-sustaining
  • Drives the team to improve collaboration and self-organization
  • Coach team members & Product Owners on Agile practices and JIRA
  • Facilitates teamwork and continual improvement of the team’s agile practices
  • Proactively identifies impediments and appropriately resolves using network of peers/formal channels and escalates when appropriate
  • Demonstrates ability to balance data with other factors when making decisions
  • Utilizes team feedback and team metrics (quality, delivery rate, etc) to identify areas of opportunity and works with team to continuously improve
  • Understands domain architecture and upstream/downstream dependencies
  • Actively seeks and participates in a variety of learning opportunities such as Communities of Practice, conferences, classroom training and independent study to further develop self and community


Basic Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma, GED or Equivalent Certification
  • Certified Scrum Master
  • At least 1 year of Agile Experience


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 2+ years performing Scrum Master Role
  • Subject Matter Expert in Jira
  • Expert in easy BI reporting
