We are looking for a trailblazer to join our team who will build, develop, and lead Ambu’s single use endoscopy efforts in GI. Position Summary: The Area Vice President, Visualization – GI will be responsible for developing sales strategies, building, and leading a sales team in order to achieve set sales goals, targets and revenue. In addition, you will manage a team of four (4) Regional Sales Directors and will be responsible for executing assigned corporate goals to grow Ambu into the foremost single-use endoscopy leader in the Gastroenterology market in the US. Essential Functions and Responsibilies:

  • Select, develop, and coach a high performing team of professionals to meet or exceed targets of profitable revenue growth
  • Lead area sales team members to achieve sales targets
  • Manage and oversee the daily operations of the sales department in specified area
  • Monitor and analyze performance metrics and suggest improvements
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual sales forecasts
  • Collaborate with Marketing and Product Development departments to ensure brand consistency
  • Work in tandem with the Vice President of Sales and other VP’s to develop the overall Visualization strategy you will be responsible for achieving and exceeding assigned Sales Budget each year
  • Develop comp plans and quotas for Regional Sales Directors and sales team in conjunction with the Vice President of Sales and other VP’s
  • Cultivate and maintain effective business relationships with executive decision makers in large IDNs (Health Networks)
  • Implement the company’s sales process to establish a culture of consultative selling to decision-makers at all levels
  • Coach RSDs to build effective staff/support relationships that enable them to respond quickly to emerging opportunities and provide for seamless execution of the company’s business processes that exceed hospital expectations
  • Drive high level teaming and collaboration to gain the committed and motivated efforts of the RSDs and sales team
  • Participate in sales calls with RSDs to provide feedback and assist with large opportunities, when applicable
  • Perform field rides with sales reps on a consistent basis
  • Up to 60% travel within assigned regions
  • Perform all other duties as needed or required to maintain and grow profitable business

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management or similar field, preferred
  • Minimum of five (5) years previous management experience
  • In depth knowledge of managing a high-performance sales team
  • Applicable experience of sales performance metrics
  • Outstanding communication (verbal and written), presentation and leadership skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Customer-oriented with strong negotiation skills
  • Analytical and data-driven problem solver
  • Proven track record of consistently overperforming and excelling throughout your career
  • Strong ability to understand and apply market intelligence to sales strategy
