A unique opportunity to join a fast-paced environment within the Cigna’s IT Global Architecture and Integration Service organization on the Experience and Platform Integration team. The role requires a candidate with multiple years of experience working as a SAFe Scrum Master. The candidate will be accountable for ensuring delivery of strategic Integration and Data Movement solutions in alignment with Enterprise Business and Technology objectives.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Accountable for overall delivery of strategic IT solutions using SAFe methodology
- Partner with Product Owner to groom and prioritize the Business capability backlog and build a roadmap for delivery
- Partner with Release Train Engineer to provide updates on team delivery and escalate issues, risks and dependencies when appropriate
- Build relationships and strong working agreements within the team and across the broader organization to facilitate dependencies and issue resolution
- Lead a diverse team consisting of a mixture of employees and vendors across multiple locations
- Ensure teams are adhering to Cigna’s Agile best practices and leveraging the tools (i.e. Rally) necessary to track progress and
- Find opportunities to improve team velocity and effectiveness
- Foster an environment of collaboration, openness, self-organization, continuous improvement and embrace a product mindset
- Encourage teams to see how things can be done rather than why they canât be done
- Regularly conduct retrospectives on capability delivery and ensure the team learns from mistakes as well as victories
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelorâs degree or higher
- Extensive professional IT work experience
- Several years of experience working as a Scrum Master and delivering strategic IT solutions
- Solid understanding of SAFe methodology and facilitating agile ceremonies (SAFe Scrum Master certified a plus)
- Experience delivering back-end IT solutions (AWS, Big Data, OpenShift, APIs, ETL, etc.)
- Technically savvy with an ability to dive into various levels of detail and drive delivery while removing blockers
- Ability to quickly earn the trust of team members and stakeholders
- Ability to mobilize and motivate teams while effectively navigating a fast paced and highly matrixed organization
- Ability to communicate at all levels of the organization with clarity and precision both written and verbally
- Ability to remove barriers, resolve conflict, negotiate positive outcomes and operate with limited direction
- Flexible and adaptable in dynamic environments
- Excellent problem-solving and strategic thinking skills
- CA Agile (a.k.a. Rally) experience a plus
