Job Details: Purpose of this Position

The VP of Business Development is expected to plan and implement organizational strategies to achieve the revenue growth goals of OnSomble. This position is responsible for securing new client contracts (called ‘new logo’ sales). The VP of Business Development will carry an annual recurring revenue quota as determined by the Chief Executive Officer and the Sales Committee of the Board of Directors.

OnSomble has developed long-term and sustainable relationships with existing clients. Ongoing client support is managed by the OnSomble Client Solutions Team. Upselling to the existing client base and expanding existing contracts is the responsibility of the Client Solutions Team, not the VP of Business Development. The VP of Business Development position is solely focused on new customer (‘new logo’) acquisition.

Job Profile: Primary Responsibilities for this Position

  • Set and execute the ‘new logo’ sales strategy
  • Drive ‘new logo’ platform sales
  • Execute customer acquisition strategy to generate annual growth in top line revenue
  • Provide detailed and accurate sales forecasting
  • Set appropriate metrics for sales pipeline funnel management
  • Manage all stages of sales pipeline development for ‘new logos’
  • Provide weekly reporting of pipeline and forecast
  • Meet monthly with the Sales Committee to review
  • Perform accurate and timely reporting each month
  • Execute on data quality standards for opportunities, accounts, and activity
  • Manage contract negotiations for ‘new logos’

Required Skills/Experience:

  • Proven relationships with key health system stakeholders
  • Leading sales activity selling six or seven figure enterprise contracts
  • Consistent track record of meeting or exceeding quota and revenue goals for a software as a service and/or health services company
  • Minimum of 5-years software sells experience (ideally in a cloud-based platform, B2B enterprise health services company), selling primarily to key stakeholders in the C-suite (CHRO, CFO, CEO, and CNO)
  • Proven success working in organization networks developing social capital with strong relationships across all functions
  • Strong operational and analytical abilities
  • An advanced skill level in Microsoft Office Suite of products is required along with proficiency in Salesforce.com and Google Suite
  • Experience in large complex sales best practices
  • Proficiency in consultative and structured problem-solving
  • Exceptional organizational, presentation, and communication skills—both verbal and written
  • Results driven, energetic, creative, and hard working with a reputation as a person/leader who gets things done
  • Bachelor degree required, Master degree preferred
