POSITION:

SALARY:
$122,575 – $135,000, depending on experience and education. Plus, excellent fringe benefits.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Required: Masters degree and three years experience as an administrator in an institution of higher education. Effective interpersonal and communication skills. Minimum 3 years college teaching experience.
Preferred: Doctoral degree strongly preferred. Community college administrative and/or teaching experience. Experience as an academic leader with responsibilities in areas such as curriculum development, assessment, faculty development, or career and workforce development.
SUMMARY OF FUNCTION:
Chief Academic Officer responsible for the scope, sequence, and integrity of the academic programs of the College. Creates and sustains excellence in all aspects of educational offerings district-wide.
TYPICAL DUTIES:
Serves Students. Maintains quality and development of curriculum, educational programs, and course offerings throughout all academic programs. Facilitates interactive instructional delivery systems that provide choices for students and supports any time, any-place learning.
Creates and monitors the budget for Learning Services. Authorizes expenditures and revisions as necessary. Assesses the use of funds to ensure approved disbursements equate to actual expenditures.
Oversees the recruitment and retention of a diverse faculty, staff and support team. Recommends appointments, transfers, promotions, re-classifications, performance improvement, and separation of employees.
Provides oversight of assessment of Student Learning Outcomes and college-wide accreditation
Prepares and maintains an educational master plan related to student learning, development, and outcomes. Provides leadership for new and revised programs to reflect changing academic environment.
Establishes organizational structures, processes, procedures, and priorities that encourage instructional growth and productivity, and that are in compliance with college policies and procedures, state and federal regulations, and accrediting standards.
Serves as a member of the President’s Cabinet to discuss and review decisions on topics regarding the district as a whole, to formulate and interpret procedures and regulations governing the operation of the college for review and approval by the President.
Responsible for the general oversight of all instructional and learning resources and materials including, library inventory, OER, textbook offerings and online publishers to support students and faculty.
Represents the College to various external entities and with outside agencies in matters relating to the College’s programs and services.
Represents the College in the community and on the state and national level to promote programs and services and enhance the College’s reputation.
Support and participate in strategic planning initiatives and perform other duties as assigned.
