8×8 is looking for a Sr Manager: Product Marketing, Competitive Intelligence, who will be responsible for competitive analysis, go-to-market competitive positioning, packaging and objection handling content for effective sales enablement for the Collaboration and Video Communications business. This individual will help drive the creation, definition, execution and delivery of product releases messaging and drive campaigns for 8×8 Meetings to achieve/exceed business metrics. A solid technical understanding of cloud and SaaS businesses including experience with social networks and business messaging, collaboration and business communications is highly desired.
This role is highly visible and cross-functional, requiring frequent interactions with 8×8 executive management, product management, marketing, and sales leadership and other staff members. This individual will be required to manage timely deliverables with strong communication and cross functional partnering skills. Occasional travel to partners and sales & marketing events might be required. Candidates must be team oriented and have a âcan doâ attitude and be comfortable working in a fast paced, cross-functional team environment.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain the on-going competitive intelligence on fast-paced SaaS Business, curating insights into battle cards and other resources for sales and executives
- Update competitive resources in all the places it lives, to shape product strategy, drive premium packaging and pricing, and communicate changes in the competitive landscape to sales and executives
- Collaborating and maintaining source control of competitive resources
- Drive the go-to-market strategy and marketing plans to help the company meet revenue and launch goals for video communications
- Drive sales enablement with competitive intelligence and create content for marketing programs (e.g.: competitive takeaways), to generate leads, awareness and revenue goals for 8×8
- Develop specific product-level competitive positioning and marketing messaging for 8×8 Meetings capabilities and features
- Create market requirement documents (MRD) as necessary
- Contribute content to marketing assets such as datasheets, feature briefs, whitepapers, user guides, web tutorials and other collateral and content
- Support PR, AR and Demand Generation activities including webinars, trade shows, direct marketing, collateral and customer case studies
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree and 8+ years of product marketing experience, MBA a plus
- Product marketing experience in B2B SaaS marketing and high-velocity Inbound Digital Funnel
- Previous experience with Collaboration and Video Communication is required, In-Room solutions knowledge is a plus
- Strong pricing and packaging acumen and strategic thinking abilities to draw conclusions based on data
- Detail and results oriented; skilled at both planning and hands-on execution* Partner channel experience is an asset
- Bachelor’s degree with a focus in business, marketing, technical disciplines, MBA a plus
- Competent with Microsoft Office and/or Google Docs, Sheets and Slides
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills
- Highly detail-oriented and organized with the ability to excel in a team-oriented, collaborative, and fast-paced environment
