This role manages projects related to office building construction, tenant improvement projects, Mechanical Electrical Plumbing (MEP) projects.
Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:
-Manages CEMREC Real Estate (RE) and OPCO funded base business projects in the U.S Eastern Region and Latin America.
-Responsible for review and approval of project scopes of work and commercial proposals.
-Provides work direction to Company cost engineering staff (schedulers, estimators, controllers) and supply chain management staff (contract advisors, procurement staff). Also provides work direction to Architectural and Engineering (AE) and General Contractor (GC) service providers.
-Ensures projects are resourced appropriately and work with CEMREC Governance model to ensure project prioritization.
-Provides leadership in ensuring safe execution of CEMREC managed projects.
-Ensures successful delivery of CEMREC projects, including capital forecasting, cost & schedule management, safety, and quality.
-Demonstrates commitment, knowledge and leadership of Operational Excellence process.
-Builds relationships with Facility Operations, Supply Chain Management, Finance, OE Team to support project managers in successful project delivery.
-Provides support to corporate audit team as required.
Required qualifications:
-Relevant project management experience.
- Bachelorâs Degree.
-Prior experience supervising employees and contractors.
Preferred qualifications:
-Engineering or construction management degree
-Experience in commercial architectural and building construction preferred.
-Knowledge of CPMS and Agile project delivery methods with an ability to quickly adapt to new processes.
-Competency in project execution planning, management, cost engineering, and contracting.
-Familiarity with engineering design and construction, with building engineering design and construction preferred.
-Demonstrated ability to drive project to completion with a strong safety focus.
-Demonstrated capability to develop portfolio strategy and plans to meet business and financial objectives.
-Energizes project teams to drive change through effective communication, coaching and mentorship.
-Clear vision and direction for project teams.
-Strong oral and written communication skills.
-Influence decision making with strong facilitation skills. Demonstrates ability to be a team player and inspires We Lead behaviors.
-Cultivates and manages customer relationships; promotes understanding of customer requirements and expectations.
