About the Role
Every role at Valicom is important and the Project Manager position is of utmost importance in ensuring technical review of telecom tasks while exceeding customer satisfaction! This role includes the management and successful completion of all assigned projects by interfacing with clients and vendors, preparing and presenting deliverables, overseeing the effective completion of project tasks by team members, and identifying and referring to salespeople opportunities for additional business within client base.
Responsibilities
1. Interface with clients and vendors

Perform savings review of invoices for billing errors

Conduct initial needs analysis interview with customer
-
Work with vendors to establish better working relationships and to obtain information necessary for use in completing projects.

Perform vendor negotiations on behalf of client
-
Lead regular client weekly or bi-weekly meeting/conference calls
2. Prepare and present deliverables
-
Generate and present quarterly reports of results and percentage of savings guarantee met.

Prepare spreadsheets, reports and other deliverables for the client (i.e. pending issues, variance report, GL feed, cost analysis spreadsheets, network diagrams), and perform a quality review of spreadsheets, reports and other deliverable generated by the Sr. Analyst prior to forwarding to the client.
3. Oversee and direct completion of tasks by team members

Manage direct reports including Senior Analyst(s), Project Analyst(s)

Work with team members to identify savings opportunities (overcharges, network reconfiguration, contract renegotiation etc.)

Generate and evaluate requests for proposals, and oversee team members in generating and evaluating request for proposals (RFPs)

Review all vendor contracts and work with team in presenting client options and opportunities.

Discuss invoice inconsistencies/issues with team

Complete year end wage and performance reviews for team members

Participate in the recruiting and performance management process
4. Identify and refer opportunities within the client base

Discuss potential for providing continued services to clients during quarterly report

Refer interested clients to Business Development Manager (BDM) along with pertinent account information

Assist the BDM with support on those opportunities for continued and additional business with existing clients

Assist BDM with support on new client opportunities

Qualifications
-
5+ years business experience (customer service, administrative, accounting/analyst, help desk) including 5+ years experience working with services and applications for local, long distance, 800 and/or wide area data networks. Knowledge of cellular industry and telecommunications equipment a plus.

Knowledge of telecommunications vendor rates/tariffs.

Experience working with telecommunications invoices including billing discrepancies and competitive analysis of services.

Strong mathematical and analytical aptitude with attention to detail.

Excellent written communications skills and experience in writing quality reports.

Experience in working with word processing and spreadsheet programs (preferably Word, Access and Excel).

Successful track record in working with service to customers both in person and on the phone.

Experience in negotiating telecom vendor contracts helpful.

Education: Bachelorâs Degree or equivalent work experience.
