Last January, EcoRise launched a collective impact initiative aimed at scaling K-12 environmental literacy programs in Texas and beyond, through GIS mapping, data visualization and coalition building on the local and state level. EcoRise is seeking to hire a full-time Project Manager who will lead service provider outreach, support and data collection. In collaboration with regional partners, the Project Manager will also be responsible for coordinating community workshops throughout Texas. This individual will work closely with the President/Chief Innovation Officer of EcoRise, as well as our technology contractors and project advisors.
Primary Responsibilities
- Service Provider Outreach: Work with environmental education service providers throughout Texas to survey programs and foster engagement and collaboration.
- Data Management: Collect surveys and data from service providers and prepare information for mapping and visualization.
- Events: Organize logistics for regional Partners Summits in collaboration with local entities.
- Development: Support grant reporting, donor research, and proposal writing related to the initiative.
- Contract Workers & Volunteers: Collaborate with GIS specialist, technologists and designers to develop and manage platforms.
Skills and Qualifications
REQUIRED
- Self-driven personality, disciplined and comfortable with ambitious, adaptive work culture
- Outstanding project management skills with keen attention to details and aptitude for organization
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- Strong technology and computer literacy skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Apps
- Willingness to travel approximately 1-2 days per month
PREFERRED
- 5+ years experience in community-building and coordinating networks
- 3+ years experience working in K-12 environmental education field
- Proficiency in the following technology tools: Salesforce, ArcGIS, InDesign, Tableau, Kumu
- Familiarity with systems change theory, collective impact strategies and data visualization.
Timeline and Benefits
Full time position with excellent benefits and flexible work schedule to begin mid-January 2020. Salary range is $40,000 – $50,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
