About the Opportunity:

The Institute for Health Equity Social Justice Research is looking for a Project Manager to join their team! This position is 28 hours per week, and is benefits eligible.

Responsibilities:

The Project Manager, under the direction of the Principal Investigator, is responsible for managing and coordinating two evaluation research projects in collaboration with the MA Department of Public Health and the Boston Public Health Commission, and their corresponding clinical sites and councils, each of whom will be carrying out the interventions to be evaluated. The position will involve collaborating with these partners to implement data collection for both project reporting to funders and for research; coordinating all IRB applications and approvals, managing the overall budgets of both projects, working with faculty who will be guiding the evaluation research methodology, drafting all required reports, assisting with grant writing, and disseminating information about the evaluation results via abstracts, presentations, and participation in writing of peer-reviewed journal articles. The Project Manager is responsible for ensuring that all program goals and tasks (including participant recruitment, project logistics, and data collection and management) are done in an accurate and efficient manner. The Project manager will supervise and monitor study tasks, timelines, and work of two students (SGA or Co-op) who will work on these projects. The Project Manager will also act as the liaison with all groups affiliated with the project, and attend clinical site meetings when necessary.

Qualifications:

Minimum requirements include: Master’s degree, preferably in social or health sciences. At least 2 years of related research experience is required. Previous experience with project management, data management, managing budgets, writing reports, facilitating meetings and providing supervision is strongly desired. Knowledge about public health and related health topics is essential. Excellent skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Access, Excel, PowerPoint), ability to conduct systematic library/literature searches, basic data analysis skills and outstanding writing/communication skills are required. Must be a detail-oriented individual with strong organizational skills and the ability to work both independently and as a part of a team.
