The Program Director is responsible for the ongoing day-to-day development, implementation, and supervision of the agency’s programs and services. The Program Director works under direction of the CEO/Executive Director exercising discretion and independent judgment within established policies and procedures. He/she is responsible for ensuring that all program and treatment expectations are met providing youth, parents, staff and outside agencies with optimal service. The health, safety and overall welfare of all youth in care is the Program Director’s main priority. The goal is to ensure every program will be delivered successfully and add the highest possible value to the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Initiate and set goals for programs according to the strategic objectives of the organization
  • Develops and implements new programs to meet the needs of the youth served
  • Ensures safe and efficient operation of all physical facilities
  • Plan the programs from start to completion involving deadlines, milestones and processes
  • Develop or approve budgets and operations
  • Conducts and facilitates team meetings as needed
  • Devise evaluation strategies to monitor performance and determine the need for improvements
  • Supervise all program and project managers involved to provide feedback and resolve complex problems
  • Demonstrates ability to effectively deal with crisis situations as well as prevention planning
  • Discover ways to enhance efficiency and productivity of procedures and people
  • Apply change, risk and resource management principles when needed
  • Read reports prepared by managers to determine progress and issues
  • Ensures daily program compliance with all local, state and federal rules, codes and licensing regulations
  • Ensure program operations and activities adhere to legal guidelines and internal policies
  • Keep senior management informed with detailed and accurate reports or presentations

Skills

➢ Must be at least twenty-one (21) years of age
➢ Must have a Master’s degree in social work or a related area of study plus at least 1 year experience in the child welfare or child care services field; OR a bachelor’s degree in social work or a related area of study and two years of experience in the child welfare or child care services field.
➢ Must have at least 3 years’ experience in the behavioral health and/or child welfare field
➢ Must have at least 1 year supervisory experience
➢ Must have basic computer knowledge (i.e., Microsoft Office, Word, Outlook, etc)
➢ Must meet all applicable General Staff Qualifications

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $40,000.00 to $55,000.00 /year
