    FedEx Business Contact (BC) – McKee & Friends, Inc.

    McKee & Friends, Inc. provides contracted delivery services to FedEx Ground in 24 cities 6 days/week. We are currently seeking a full-time Manager/Business Contact to plan and manage the day-to-day operations of the Company. This Business Contact will primarily perform administrative functions but also be fully capable and willing to assist with deliveries in a backup or emergency scenario. The position will be supported by a second BC who will serve as the first backup/emergency driver.

    Qualified candidates must be at least 25 years of age and possess the following qualifications:

    • 1-3 years of supervisory/management experience;
    • Ability to work in a demanding, constantly changing and fast-paced environment;
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and/or Google Sheets;
    • Technologically savvy and ready and willing to adopt new technologies;
    • Strong communication skills. Ability to lead and manage up to 35 drivers with varying personalities while also representing the Company professionally as the lead interface with

    FedEx Ground personnel;

    • Ability to work independently and quickly make decisions on the fly;
    • Attention to detail, including safety regulations and pickup & delivery policies;
    • Logistical planning experience preferred;
    • A current and clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR);
    • Ability to lift up to 100 pounds;
    • Submission and passing of a DOT drug and medical exam;
    • No criminal background;
    • Training to start immediately upon hire.

    Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

    • Staff scheduling;
    • Upcoming day route planning and creation;
    • Work with drivers daily to ensure timely customer dispute and misdelivery resolution;
    • Research and follow up on missing packages;
    • Ensure timely completion of driver safety trainings;
    • Ensure timeliness and accuracy of DOT timekeeping records;
    • Ensure strict compliance with Company policies & procedures;
    • Daily oversight and reporting of vehicle condition and maintenance needs;
    • On-going recruiting to ensure adequate staffing in place to cover volume surges, staff vacations, etc.
    • Perform driver P&D responsibilities when short staffed or in route rescue scenario.

    Position does NOT require a CDL license and will begin with several days of training.
