Position: Director of Music
Qualifications:
Ability to play pipe organ and piano.
Background in church music.
Ability to get along and lead choirs of all ages.
Responsibilities:
To be accountable to the Minister.
Conduct music for regular Sunday worship services (one regular service presently Sunday at 10 a.m.).
Conduct music for regular Saturday worship services (one regular service currently Saturday evening 6 to 7).
Rehearse, direct, and accompany sanctuary choirs. Two hours per week for choir practice.
- Rehearsals: Sept.-June
- Sanctuary choir
- In July and August, choir Practice Sun. before service.
Rebuild the following choirs
- Wesleyan (K-6 grade)
- Bell Choir
- Select and order music.
Make self-available for:
- extra programs, events, services i.e. Maundy Thursday, Good Friday, Christmas Eve.
- Assist children for programs and rehearsals.
Arrange substitute in absence.
Extra compensation may be available for Funerals and Weddings.
These responsibilities may require an average of ten hours per week.
This position and its responsibilities are to be reviewed annually by the Staff-Parish Relations Committee.
Job Type: Part-time
Salary: $15,000.00 to $18,000.00 /year
