LDB Beverage Company, a 40-person company based in the Columbia Gorge, is looking for an HR Manager to complete the Senior Management team. LDB Beverage is growing and the time is right to bring in an additional staff member who is creative, energetic and who is familiar with a small company environment.

Job Summary:

This Senior level management position is responsible for the Human Resources activities of LDB Beverage Company. This role is granted and expected to exercise independent authority in decision making within the scope of their responsibilities.

General Accountabilities:

  • Develop, implement and monitor HR strategies, systems, procedures and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy, across the organization.
  • Support current and future business needs through the development, engagement, motivation and preservation of human capital.
  • Oversee and manage performance appraisal/evaluation systems that drive high performance.
  • Bridge management and employee relations by addressing demands, grievances or other issues, using discretion as necessary.
  • Accountable for appropriate staffing in all departments.
  • New hire onboarding.
  • Compliance to all local, state and federal employment laws.
  • Manage and recommend payroll allocation/budget.
  • Manage the recruitment and selection process and working to ensure that imperative skills are present in the workforce.
  • In cooperation with the Operations Manager, support the personnel training program.
  • Recommend structure changes and personnel opportunities to help the organization grow.
  • Work with the Senior Management to anticipate skillset gaps and initiate hiring process to ensure business disruption is minimalized during transitions.
  • Manage payroll, sick and vacation accruals and governmentally mandated withholdings.
  • Make recommendations to Senior Management relating to overall payroll alignment as it relates to standards both in industry and geographically in the Columbia Gorge.
  • Write/publish internal documents for staff.
  • Manage/initiate employee programs such as incentives, medical/dental insurance, 401Ks, etc.
  • Submit monthly analytics on labor expenses and other human resources KPIs, and identify other possible business measurable elements.
  • Interact with the Senior Management team and other managers/employees on a daily basis.

Requirements:

  • Proven working experience as HR manager or other HR executive, minimum of 5 years.
  • People oriented and results driven.
  • Demonstrable experience with human resources metrics.
  • Knowledge of HR systems and databases.
  • Ability to architect strategy along with leadership skills.
  • Competence to build and effectively manage interpersonal relationships at all levels of the company.
  • In-depth knowledge of labor law and HR best practices.

Skills:

  • Ability to interact with diverse stakeholders in a positive manner.
  • Competency with Microsoft suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent active listening, negotiation and presentation skills.
