Position Summary:
Ambys is seeking a Head of Development Operations with extensive experience in early stage exploratory clinical development, bringing novel therapeutics from research discovery to clinical proof of concept. This position will work closely with the Chief Medical Officer, Clinical Development, Clinical Operations, Regulatory CMC, Quality, Biostatistics, CMC, and Program Management to ensure operational implementation of clinical trials to creatively validate Ambys’ cutting edge medicines, maximize efficiency, contain execution costs, and meet timelines. Key responsibilities include coordinating and leading the clinical operations functions, including program management, study planning, financial oversight, vendor management, managing trial and program timelines and ensuring GCP compliance and providing expertise and strategic guidance as an executive member of the R&D team. The ideal candidate will have significant industry experience with direct oversight of early and late stage clinical trials, performed effectively as a member of a senior management team, led cross-functional teams and managed vendor relationships.

Job Requirements:
- 15+ years of experience in clinical drug development, including 5+ years experience in early phase clinical development (FIH through to proof-of-concept)
- Experience across therapeutic areas including liver disease
- Experience in execution of innovative operational strategies in a global environment
- Demonstration of being a highly effective executive with experience in productive collaboration on cross-functional complex projects
- Detail-oriented mindset with excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Problem-solving orientation with the ability to drive forward results and support innovation
