Sunovion Pharmaceuticals is looking for a Field Director, Payer National Accounts
The Field Director will be responsible for developing and implementing short and long-term business strategy to align value propositions, optimize portfolio coverage and ensure patient access to Sunovion products within large National Commercial and Government Payers.
Essential Functions:
- Develop and implement short and long-term business strategy to align value propositions, optimize portfolio coverage and ensure patient access to Sunovion products within large National Commercial and Government Payers (Medicare & Medicaid)
- Ensure product access by becoming a trusted advisor to key departments within target accounts (Pharmacy, Contracting, Medical & beyond) and by embracing the âselling higher, wider, and deeperâ principles.
- Assess sales implications (short- and long-term) of contracting, pull-through and payer decisions. Take innovative, thoughtful actions to ensure that target accounts continues open patient access to Sunovion products.
- Leads a team that Delivers profitable access and creates strong, lasting relationships with payer Medical and Pharmacy directors, case managers, quality, and other related account stakeholders/influencers.
- Collaborate effectively with Regional Account Team, MALT, Sales Leadership, Strategic Pricing & Contracting and other internal stakeholders to execute pull through strategies and deliver results.
- Clearly articulate the national payer Strategy by customer and brand, in a manner that Builds trust wintin the greater organization.
- Proactively collaborate with Marketing, Sales Leadership, Government Affairs, Medical Affairs, Strategic Pricing and Contracting and HEOR to ensure consistent and compliant exchange of payer information and to maximize profitable access and pull-through.
- Build, maintain and regularly update account business And launch plans. Shares them regularly with key stakeholders.
- Provide leadership and business expertise through dialogue with internal stakeholders and external payer customers.
- Take ownership for building awareness and educating internal stakeholders about trends within the market, and ensuring they understand access with each customer.
- Build and maintain Trusted Advisor relationships across accounts, payer organizations, and broader networks.
- Deep launch experience within National Payers (Commercial and Medicare)
- Ensure all team members and contracts are in compliance with state and federal regulations and Sunovion SOPs and policies
- Manage all administrative aspects of team leadership including, budgets, activities and development plans.
Minimum Education, Experience, Knowledge and Skills Required:
- Bachelorâs Degree (Business or Life Sciences is Preferred), 10-15 years of Pharmaceutical Industry Experience with a strong Managed Market Access Background.
- 3-5 years of RBM or similar leadership experience required.
- Ideal candidate will show progressive leadership experience within a sales organization (District/Region Manager) and within a Managed Markets Organization (Leading Regional or National Account Teams).
- Established Network of Contacts Within Managed Markets National/Corporate Accounts.
- Strong Executive Presence and presentation skills.
- Financial Background, Team Based Selling Skills, Contract Operations Experience
