Job Summary (Primary function)
This position will lead the development of global market access strategy and health economic deliverables that will substantiate the value of Incyteâs portfolio. Specifically, the position will provide inputs to optimize product design and evidence generation (registration and non-registration) for assigned products/pipeline assets. This involves, but not limited to, indication-specific landscape assessment, dosing optimization, and external payer consultations. In addition, the position will lead global launch readiness activities including access strategy development, finalizing HTA deliverables (data analysis, value dossier, HE models, value communication etc.) to demonstrate value of Incyteâs portfolio and support launch. The position will collaborate with key cross-functional and regional colleagues and support countries in preparation for their P&R submission and negotiations. This position reports to Head of Global Value, Access, & Pricing.
- Lead the development of global access and health economics strategies for pipeline/launch products in close collaboration with clinical, medical, global product strategy, publications, and regional colleagues in the US, EU, Japan
- Build and implement the global access and health economic plan including the delivery of global value dossier content, early budget impact and cost-effectiveness/utility models as well as modeling guidance for regional and local model submissions
- Develop protocols and statistical designs, conducts and report results of studies in order to evaluate the value of treatments. Such projects include decision analytical models, systematic reviews, meta-analyses and indirect treatment comparisons that support the core value of Incyte products
- Provide input into value elements (including traditional clinical trials, indirect treatment comparisons, PRO selection, economic models, statistical analysis plans) for evidence generation; work closely with regions and functions to gather input
- Collaborates closely with regional market access and HE/OR leads in support of submission strategy and local implementation; ensures coordination of HE activities
- Work closely with functions across the organization to identify data gaps and opportunities and provide input into evidence generation plan that optimizes and supports global value
- Ensure competitor evidence is gathered and interpreted to inform global value and health economic strategy
- Present research results at scientific and industry conferences (e.g. ISPOR); work with Medical Affairs to submit manuscripts to peer-reviewed scientific journals
- Perform all company business in accordance with regulations and company policies and procedures
Qualifications (Minimal acceptable level of education, work experience, and competency)
- Masters, Pharm.D. or Ph.D. in Health Economics, Pharmacoeconomics, Economics, Outcomes Research, Health Services Research or related disciplines
- Minimum of 8 yearsâ experience in Biotech/Pharmaceutical or life sciences industry with product launch experience and publication track record
- At least 3 years of health economics experience within Biotech/Pharmaceutical industry or as an advisor with proven experience developing HE deliverables for both pipeline and launch products
- Global access experience in a region and/or country in health economics or market access with global responsibility for strategy and deliverables. Familiarity with HTA process in key markets including US, Germany, Japan, UK, and France is required. Customer-facing experience with payers/HTAs is highly valued
- Experience in research methodologies as they relate to health economics: experimental studies (randomized and controlled studies), observational studies (prospective and retrospective, chart reviews etc.), literature based studies (systematic reviews and meta-analyses).
- Oncology and/or auto-immune diseases experience preferred.
- Strong tactical HEOR abilities with strategic visibility to see the big picture.
- Proven ability to work with cross-functional teams and to interact with senior leadership.
- Ability to work independently in a rapidly changing environment.
- Ability to travel domestic and international, when required.
