We are looking for a Strong Technical leader with a sky high ambition to build the Ads & Content platform of the future to shape this vision. This is a very visible and a senior leadership role in the company with a responsibility to manage, mentor and direct multiple direct reports.

Roles & Responsibilities:
As a leader of the Ads Platform Engineering team, you will own the roadmap, development, and delivery of our Ads & Content platform product. In this role, you will closely work with Product Management, Ad Ops and Sales to ensure timely delivery of the best Product features in a fast-paced product development environment. You will lead a team of talented Engineers with a strong emphasis on improving developer productivity, scalability, and quality of Shopkick’s future Ad & Content platforms. You will be tasked to grow the team with strong engineers and groom the future technical leaders.

Required Leadership Skills:

  • You have an ability to lead managers with direct reports as well as individual contributors that will require direction, mentorship and career development.
  • You have a proven ability to create a solid technology vision and drive teams to a strong technical execution plan
  • You have an impeccable ability to create clarity, simplicity and focus even in ambiguous and unclear situations
  • You have a strong ability to hire and develop solid and diverse engineering talent and build high-performing engineering teams with hands on technical leadership
  • Experience in Ad-Tech industry is a plus

Required Technical Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of full stack development and architecture
  • You have a strong track-record of building scalable, flexible service-oriented platform products
  • You have familiarity with Ads Content & Campaign Management workflows
  • You have a strong understanding and knowledge of software development methodologies
  • You have strong verbal and written communication skills
  • You take pride in delivering robust, high quality software products in a timely manner
  • Architect new systems for doing ad optimization at scale
  • You can innovate through iteration; using prototypes and experiments to navigate solution ambiguity
  • Work with product and sales teams to design and implement new ad products
  • You have experience in full stack engineering and strong software skills
  • Experience working with one or more general purpose programming languages (including ABAP, Java, JavaScript or Python).

Minimum Qualifications

  • BS/BA in Computer Science or equivalent and 15+ years relevant industry experience of shipping products at scale
  • 10 years of leading and developing engineering teams
  • Experience in Ads technology and services industry a plus
  • Must be eligible to work in the U.S.
