Job Title: Sr. Scrum Master
Location: Alpharetta, GA (1 day remote work can be done)
Duration: 4 months (Contract to Hire)

Description & Responsibilities:
The primary responsibility of the Sr Scrum Master will be to lead small and large Compliance and Risk Management projects from planning to deployment in the Governance, Compliance, and Risk organization using SAFe Agile Methodology.
The role includes traditional scrum master activities mixed with some project manager activities. Senior Level experience, executive presence, and financial acumen are very important in this role.

  • Responsible for all aspects of the development/implementation of projects and programs involving department or cross functional teams focused on the delivery of a product or program from the design process through a finished state for internal/external customers.
  • Provides a single point of contact for projects. Takes projects from original concept through final implementation.
  • Interfaces with all areas affected by the project which may include customers, client services, and various departments (e.g. marketing, computer services, etc.). Defines project scope and objectives.
  • Oversees/coordinates all aspects of project and serves as project manager between clients, line management, and internal and external resources.
  • Plans and directs schedules as well as project budgets. Monitors the product/program/project from initiation through delivery, interfacing with customer on all matters.
  • Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client satisfaction goals.
  • Develops detailed work plans, schedules, project estimates, resource plans, budgets, and status reports.
  • Conducts project meetings and is responsible for project deliverables.
  • Manages the integration of vendor tasks, and tracks and reviews vendor deliverables.
  • May provide project management guidance to project team.
  • Recommends/takes action to direct the analysis of and solution to problems.

Aspects of the typical project includes:

  • Running a medium size scrum team.
  • Working with the business on user story prioritization.
  • Managing Kanban boards.
  • Give periodic demonstrations.
  • Organizing and running planning and deployment meetings.
  • Proactively identifying and managing risks.
  • Financial management and reporting.
  • Creating work plans.
  • Senior Management status reporting.
  • 10+ years of overall project management experience.
  • Experience with SAFe Agile project management is a must.
  • Candidate should have experience leading numerous projects.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required to be successful.
  • Must demonstrate action-oriented leadership when faced with a project roadblock.
  • Must have excellent customer facing and soft skills, solution oriented, looking for win-win opportunities.
  • Must have experience in managing multiple initiatives.

The Scrum Master will be to interact with Cybersecurity Program Management Office and Release Train Engineer, Product Owner to scope business requests for delivery.
The Scrum Master will interact with all members of the Agile team to ensure the integrity of the customers’ project objective is maintained throughout the project, as well as to provide financial/ project status, as well as scope control, risk/issue escalation, stakeholder engagement, project transition & closure.

Skill requirements:

  • 10+ years of overall project management experience.
  • Experience with SAFe Agile project management is a must.
  • Candidate should have experience leading numerous projects.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required to be successful.
  • Must demonstrate action-oriented leadership when faced with a project roadblock.
