Assistant Director of Nursing – Nursing Home

Currently seeking a compassionate and professional Assistant Director of Nursing to help manage the nursing department of a privately owned facility. The ideal candidate will be a RN (Registered Nurse) from an accredited school of nursing and have at least 2 years of experience as an Assistant Director of Nursing Services or Nursing Manager.

Responsibilities of the Assistant Director of Nursing

• Lead, direct and monitor the delivery of health care and related health and medical services.
• Provide direct supervision to nurses.
• Plan, develop and implement procedures and policies that enhance the quality of life for people receiving services.
• Provide leadership to assure compliance with local, state and federal regulations and nursing practice standards.
• Develop and implement nursing department budgets in coordination with our management team.
• Provide effective nurse management that assures utilization of personnel to best meet the needs of the people receiving support and services.
• Develop and implement health care related training that assures the best possible delivery of health related support and services.
• Ensure that patient care plans contain accurate documentation and are amended as needed.

Requirements of the Assistant Director of Nursing

• RN (Registered Nurse) from an accredited school of nursing
• Valid NY RN license
• Hands on experience as an Assistant Director of Nursing in a long term care setting
• Strong interpersonal communication skills
