    We are looking for an Accountant /Office manager to primarily handle all the accounting and also organize and coordinate administration duties and office procedures. This includes work with our construction company (Evergreeneconstruction.com), our weekly vacation rental company (doylesnewport.com) and our Ice cream store (howdyslc.com and @howdyslc). Must be able to handle basic accounting duties. We have outside tax preparation, but new hire must be able to close the monthly and annual books for each company. Ultimately the Accountant /Office manager should be able to ensure the smooth running of the office and help to improve company procedures and day-to-day operation.

    Responsibilities

    • Handle all AR/AP duties
    • Prepare monthly project construction invoices/draws
    • Prepare monthly reports for all three companies listed above
    • Maintain the office condition and arrange necessary repairs
    • Handle basic HR functions and maintain office policies as necessary
    • Organize office operations and procedures
    • Work with staff to gather all invoices and payments
    • Ensure that all items are invoiced and paid on time
    • Manage office General and Administrative budget, ensure accurate and timely reporting
    • Provide general support to visitors
    • Assist in the onboarding process for new hires

    Skills

    • Proven experience as an Accountant /Office manager
    • Knowledge of office administrator responsibilities, systems and procedures
    • Proficiency in Excel and if any experience with Constructware please note that
    • Attention to detail and problem solving skills
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Strong organizational and planning skills in a fast-paced environment
    • A creative mind with an ability to suggest improvements

    Job Type: Full-time

    Salary: $20.00 to $25.00 /hour
