Position Summary
This position is responsible for the strategic company revenue growth and development of the Nutrition Division, which will include Nutritional Products, Nutritional Coaching and Lab Testing through field sales team and online Fitness and Nutrition website. Key areas of focus are P&L management including products and service offerings, business management including driving product development, pricing and promotional direction in addition to training and integrating with our 3000+ Life Time Personal Trainers nationwide in partnership with the Sr. Director Personal Training Operations.

- Strategic Business planning, including competitive brand and category management, segment growth trends, pricing and margin analysis, identifying opportunities for growth that align with our right to win.
- The Vice President of Nutrition will create, review and rework Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and assure all suppliers adhere to current Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), while coordinating and tracking all elements of the product development lifecycle. Reporting directly to this position are subject matter experts in manufacturing and product formulation.
- Responsible for oversight of supply chain and obsolescence management.
- Creating monthly promotional and educational plans to drive revenue through our sales force of 3000+ personal trainers as well as through Direct to Consumer initiatives.
- In partnership with Sr. Director PT Operations ensure tools and processes are in place for operations excellence in the field.
- Optimize the product line to ensure competitive superiority as well as integration with assessment and coaching business to ensure cohesion across the division.
- Conducts annual business plan, forecast and budgets and monthly business reviews on Nutrition Division performance with corporate and field management.
- Lead the Stage Gate process to ensure the successful identification, screening, development and launch of products for the Nutrition Business.
- Conduct comprehensive industry and competitive analysis to determine competitive benchmarks, pricing and positioning strategies for Nutrition products and services. Translates customer needs, market changes, and competitive initiatives into requirements for new features of existing services or product line extensions. Stays current in product trends and research regarding nutritional supplementation.
- Lead the development of people within the department, including hiring and promoting for success, technical and leadership development, performance management and organizational planning.
- Partner with R&D to develop in-club and online Nutrition services that integrate with and/or complement other LTF services. Manage all aspects of nutritional product line extensions.
- Support the organization in troubleshooting any technical deficiencies, identification of root cause and sustainable corrective and preventative actions.
- Work with our purchasing, warehouse, Life Café, Personal Training and finance teams to ensure proper inventory management
- Champion the organizational and departmental initiatives and operates as a subject matter expert through live training, virtual forums (i.e. articles, blogs, videos)
- Monitor key department performance indicators and project deliverables, driving them to levels at or above goal
Minimum Qualifications
Education:- Bachelor’s Degree in Nutrition and/or related field
- Master’s degree in related field preferred or MBA
- 1-2 National Certifications in Nutrition, Exercise or related field
Experience:
- 8+ years experience in Brand/ Category Management
- All Natural Products Experience preferred
