JLL’s Project and Development Services team is seeking an experienced Vice President – Cost Estimating.

Position Objectives:
Works as part of the Project Development Services team across the Mid-Atlantic (Virginia, DC, Maryland) region

Assist clients, JLL brokers, JLL PMs and external designers with all financial aspects of a construction project

​Manage and maintain the cost data base and produce research white papers.

Provide superior client service.

Promote InSite (JLL own test-fit and occupancy planning tool).

Meet assigned financial targets.

​Responsibilities:
Reviewing and developing construction cost budgets for various projects including: ground up or renovation works for offices, hospitality, residential, industrial and entertainment type projects.

Comparing budget costs to benchmark pricing information, analyzing quantities and scope items as well as assist in value engineering.

Providing support and strategy during trade contractor procurement, while also participating in trade contractor interviews and the bid leveling process.

Developing project unit pricing and labor rates.

Enhance overall ROM service delivery by increasing efficiency and improving processes.

Support in the development and maintaining customers historical cost benchmark for project types.

Essential Skills and Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution in Accounting, Business, Architecture, Engineering, or Construction Management with a focus on real estate and construction.

Minimum 8 years experience in cost management or estimating.

Ability to regularly communicate analyzed data to client and team to achieve project goals.

Strong working knowledge of methods of construction, architectural drawings, furniture, and workplace concepts / trends.

Experience in construction management or real estate preferred.

Highly organized with strong analytical skills.

Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to interact with executive level external and internal clients.

Ability to successfully communicate with architects, contractors, client’s representatives, and team members and build strong relationships.

Previous experience effectively supervising, training, mentoring and evaluating several project managers at various levels within the organization / team.

Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and Project software (i.e., Excel, Project, RSMeans, Bluebeam).
