After paid training, you will be able to implement and document all approved individual support plans as designed; you will complete all charting, logs, documentation of those served in a timely manner, and you will relate to those served with a caring and professional attitude.

Service and Support Director Job Summary

To be responsible for the overall management and operations of designated locations to include services, personnel and administration. The Service and Support Director may delegate certain specified tasks, but are still ultimately responsible for ensuring all delegated tasks are completed in accordance to Vista Care and procedures.

The Service and Support Director position ensures the delivery of high quality services and supports through consistent compliance with Vista Care’ mission and associated policies. The responsibilities ensure all persons served are treated with dignity and respect at all times.

The SSD position is full time and exempt. The schedule must be flexible to accommodate the various programs, personnel and organizational needs including after hour emergencies, phone calls and assigning a replacement for on-call responsibilities. In the absence of trained staff, required to fulfill the responsibilities of their direct reports.

Qualifications and Skills:

A 4 year degree and 1 year of related supervisory experience is preferred but an equivalent combination of 5 years education and experience will be considered. Prior experience in residential services and supports for persons with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities is desirable. The individual must consistently demonstrate effective decision-making abilities, strong communication skills and computer literacy.

Individual must successfully complete all State of Wisconsin CBRF certification requirements within 90 days of accepting position. Physical qualifications include the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, bend, twist, reach and stand on a continual basis.

DRIVING REQUIREMENT:

The SSD is required to use their own vehicle or those owned and/or leased by Vista Care. This responsibility may include transporting persons served. A valid Wisconsin driver’s license and level of personal liability insurance as required by Vista Care must remain in effect at all times.
