ABOUT THE JOB

The Senior Director, Cloud Production Operations directs a global team responsible for delivering service management, Tier I and II operations, logging, monitoring, tooling and ITSM metrics to the organization. The Sr Director of Cloud Production Operations is a Cloud Operations expert driving programs and demonstrate their value. Sr Director provides decisive leadership, facilitates collaboration between technical teams and non-technical stakeholders and manages a team of global Cloud Service, DevOps and Database Engineer Operations professionals on a mission to build, scale, monitor, improve and protect the FMI platform.


Key Responsibilities:

Leadership

  • Lead the global Cloud Production Operations function long term strategy and roadmap.
  • Drive quarterly and annual initiatives within the department to protect, improve, monitor, and scale the organization’s Cloud Production Operations.
  • Oversee the 7×24 Cloud production operations systems, processes and support functions and efforts to ensure the functions operate with optimal efficiency.
  • Execute initiatives to ensure Cloud environment can scale to meet FMI business needs.
  • Supervise a team of Cloud Production Operations leaders, providing direction, coaching, evaluation, support, and hiring of personnel as needed.

Deployment Management

  • Manage high-level communication and process improvement initiatives for Cloud Operations.
  • Liaise with Compliance, Security, Internal Audit, Procurement, Finance, and Amazon Web Service on deployment initiatives and to ensure successful adoption of service.
  • Partner with our Voice-of-the-Customer team to address the most common platform issues and derive deeper satisfaction with our services.

Miscellaneous

  • Complete complex incident review, high-level trend analysis, and incorporate findings into improvement initiatives.
  • Execute production analytics and capacity planning annually and as needed.
  • Collaborate with all stakeholders and support as a senior technical for Cloud Services.
  • Manage the Cloud Production Operations budget and operating plan.
  • Maintain quality control processes for the department.
  • Review and approve standard operating procedural documents.
  • Travel required up to 10% inclusive of client site visits, conferences, trade shows, sales and off-site company events
  • Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS


Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree.
  • 7+ years of experience delivering large scale cloud-based product operations (SaaS) and leadership.
  • 7+ years of direct management experience.
  • AWS Solutions Architect certification(s).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Degree in Computer Science, Business or related fields.
  • 10+ years of experience delivering large scale cloud-based product operations (SaaS) and leadership.
  • Cloud operations expertise.
  • Other cloud experience, such as Azure or Google.
  • Demonstrated technologist with broad experience across a variety of operations and services including DevOps, Pipeline Construction, Release automation and deployment (Jenkins, CloudFormation, Chef, Team Foundation Server, Code Pipeline).
  • Direct experience designing and supporting deployment and automation solutions on public/private cloud environments with specific experience developing solutions using AWS.
  • Experience building high availability services at scale.
  • Proven experience driving adoption of new technology into existing complex systems.
  • Demonstrated ability leading small focused teams of technologists.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Experience with compliance/governance including ITSM, ITIL, HIPPA, GDPR, PCI and ISO.
  • Superb influence and a track record of driving success and process improvement in a matrixed environment.
  • Sees ahead clearly, can anticipate future consequences and product trends accurately; has broad knowledge and perspective and is future oriented.
  • Strong quantitative skills and comfort with internal controls, financial and accounting terms and principles.
  • Ability to travel up to 10%.
