Responsibilities
- Expand Transamerica’s mutual fund and exchange traded fund (ETF) presence with retirement plan centric institutional firms within a designated region, with a primary focus on firms in the DCIO marketplace and those individuals that support research, mutual fund placement in models and within retirement plans.
- Partner with Transamerica’s Individual Solutions and Workplace teams to support client facing efforts in the retirement plan space.
- Create an effective territory management plan to engage assigned internal distribution partners, encourage proactive industry networking, and allow for effective support of the immediate team as well as the larger organization.
- Leverage industry contact for opportunities to cross-sell internal products and services.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on mutual funds and ETFs to effectively engage audiences at the CIO level.
- Execute on business plans and meet key activity and sales metrics as established by the organization.
- Contribute to sales goals and expectations of the DCIO team.
- Prepare and submit an annual business plan, and formally review and/or modify the plan versus goals at least quarterly with Division Sales Manager.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a business related field or equivalent work experience
- Five years of financial services industry experience, including two years working directly with DCIO’s and Consultants
- FINRA Series 6, 7, and 63
- Outstanding communication, interpersonal, and relationship building skills
- Excellent presentation, writing, and analytical skills to engage with clients, prospects, and sub advisors in the areas of financial analysis and planning, life events, and economic topics
- Self-motivated and able to work as part of a team in a fast paced environment
- Proficiency using MS Office tools
Preferred Qualifications
- CFA, CIMA, CFP, CPA, CRPC or other relevant designations
- Will consider sponsorship of designation per individual basis
- Knowledge of Transamerica mutual funds and ETF’s
Working Conditions
- Office environment or work remote from home
- Extensive travel (75%), which may include weekends, to visit home office and attend conferences/industry events
