Min Qualifications
Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD), and 2 years of general clinical practice experience.The following licensure and certification must be maintained at all times:-Licensed to practice dentistry in the state of Texas.-Current registration of license to practice dentistry in the state of Texas.-Current Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) controlled substance registration certificate.-Current Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) controlled substance registration certificate.-Current certification in cardiopulmonary resuscitation.JOB DESCRIPTION:Performs responsible professional services as the Regional Dental Director. Services involve providing general direct dental care for the offender population of correctional facilities as well as providing professional and administrative management of facility dental services for the facilities in the Region to ensure conformance with University procedures and Health Services policies. Works under the general supervision of the Dental Director with considerable latitude for the exercise of independent judgement. Participates as a member of the Regional Management Team to promote the Correctional Managed Care mission. May be required to provide dental services on multiple facilities.
