The Miami and other transit vehicle procurement projects, involve the development of contract technical provisions for rail and bus vehicles; proposal preparation and negotiation support; project management, engineering design oversight; and manufacturing, testing, and commissioning support for Miami and other transit vehicles.
The successful candidate will have overall responsibility to manage all current and future transit projects and for all marketing activities aimed at securing additional consulting and project management work. The successful candidate will have strong knowledge of the transit industry, project management, procurement, and Federal Transit Administration guidelines and requirements.
Regular duties of the successful candidate will include the following:
+ Manage the AECOM Miami Transit Office and all on-going projects, including the Miami New Vehicle Procurement Contract.
+ Manage all office and project engineering personnel to achieve performance in accordance with cost, schedules, contractual and client requirements.
+ Provide organization leadership for proposal and marketing efforts to obtain additional project work.
+ Ensure adherence to company policies, standards and procedures and governmental regulations.
+ Maintain contact with senior level management within the company.
+ Resolve conflicts or controversy to facilitate meeting established company objectives.
+ Maintain clear and concise written and verbal communication skills.
+ Document daily activities by completing reports and logs; summarizing test results; and entering data into quality records database.
+ Possess a working knowledge of measurement equipment and calibration.
+ Maintains safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures; complying with applicable AECOM and legal regulations.
Minimum Requirements
+ BA/BS + 10 YORE or AA/AS (US) + 12 YORE
+ Registered Professional Engineer (Florida preferred)
+ Thorough knowledge of transit vehicles and bus systems
Preferred Qualifications
+ 15+ years of experience with a minimum of 7 years of project management experience.
+ Registered Professional Engineer – Florida preferred
+ Knowledge of transit vehicles and bus systems.
+ Proven market development skills will also be a key considerations in the selection of the successful candidate.
+ Candidates must possess and have demonstrated skills in persuasion and negotiation of critical issues, effective writing and communication skills; ability to manage and lead personnel, and a proven track record of on time project delivery and budget performance.
