Job Summary

The Program Operations Director will support and advise the Market Leader in all matters necessary for the effective operation of the Southern California Office, including preparation for speaking engagements, marketing, office management and special projects. The ability to work independently while managing significant Market Leader priorities is required. Strong judgment and frequent interaction with all levels of internal and external partners is also required.

Job Responsibilities

  • Regularly reviews Market Leader’s, priorities and goals, determines appropriate communication flow and action to support program leads and achieve outcomes.
  • Act as accounting liaison to ensure high quality functioning between the two departments.
  • Coordinates quarterly market and grant updates, standard reports and funder updates.
  • Serves on various committees/task forces designed to work on administrative, policy and procedural matters.
  • Responsible for the day-to-day management all Office Administration.
  • Administration of Marketing and Communications plan, including event plans, newsletters and media releases.
  • Supports Market Leader and Resource Development Group with all logistics for annual fundraiser and related responsibilities.
  • Assists in preparing materials, presentations and briefings for meetings with funders, speaking engagements, meetings with policy makers, and follow-up as needed.

Qualifications

  • Undergraduate degree typically has eight (3-5) years or more progressive experience in community-based or related organization or related position.
  • Must possess excellent leadership and communications skills.
  • Must be able to analyze, synthesize and translate, verbally and in writing, complex information to influence the process and explain results to parties inside and outside the organization.
  • History of building effective, collaborative working relationships that are dependent upon mutual trust and confidence, integrity, forthright expression of opinions, discretion, good judgment, diplomacy, and confidentiality.
  • History of working effectively with senior leadership, using the access with discretion.
  • Broad familiarity with community development with programmatic experience preferred.
