Job Title: Principal Engineer – CTO Office – Data Center Architect

About the role â you will:
- Take total cost of ownership modeling, understanding, and customer engagement with passion.
- Have a genuine excitement in technology mega-trend understanding for hyper-scale and edge data center growth in order to build and create grow the market.
- Research POV (point of view) and POC(proof of concept) leadership to accelerate innovation and design improvement.
- Have an understanding of data center architecture, rack architecture, and compute/network/storage infrastructure
- Be responsible for long term product and technology strategy.
- Become apart of a diverse team of architects that has a background in all aspects of the storage ecosystem and work collaboratively with engineering and research to understand, evaluate, and compare design methods to provide optimal total cost of ownership for our customers.
- Efficiently drive and work in the team and allow for external speaking opportunities to drive and influence thought leadership.
About you:
- You will have outstanding long-term project planning and execution skills to carry our data center life cycle planning
- Collaborative approach and strong problem-solving skills to work with leaders across organizational and technical domains
- Excellent written and verbal social skills to manage effectively across cultures and geographies
Your experience includes:
- Deep understanding of data center architectures covering InfiniBand/Ethernet network design, storage solutions, scale system performance, and electrical/mechanical topologies.
- Background with system management, network management, storage management
- Experience with product development processes and considerations. You have a clear picture of when it makes sense to adjust architectures to resolve an issue, and are able to participate in discussions at multiple technical levels covering hardware systems, network, and power/cooling.
- Hands-on knowledge of server OS and virtualization solutions used for on-premise infrastructure including VMWare, KVM, LINUX (RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu) on x86.
- Experience with projects involving design, automation and roll out out of enterprise workloads and applications on Docker, Kubernetes and Microservice based environments
- Bachelor’s Degree and / or equivalent experience.
