Green Meadows Healthcare Center, a skilled nursing facility, is hiring a Director of Medical Records.
Requirements: at least 2 years of experience maintaining update records and complying with HIPAA regulations, excellent written and verbal skills, accuracy and timeliness of record processing and commitment to always doing the right thing. Experience with Point Click care a plus.
Some of the responsibilities include:
- Organizing and directing the medical records department in accordance with co policies
- Working collaboratively with all staff
- Assembling and reviewing residents medical records as needed
- Retrieving resident records as needed
- Filing all medical reports doctors and nurses notes, x-ray, lab, etc. in a timely fashion
- Enforcing procedures to ensure all resident records are properly filed, coded, signed, etc.
- Maintaining a record of authorized information released from charts/records
- Keeping active and inactive medical records as warranted by company policy
- Degree in Health Information Management.
