We build wireless solutions for real-time data delivery at live events. Starting first in the music industry, we have built a platform to allow concert-goers to stream the same in-ear audio feed that musicians get on stage – direct from the mixing board (as opposed to blasted over huge speakers into the open air). How you’ll be contributing:
Alongside our CTO and product management teams, you’ll lead the development of new product lines and guide the implementation of new features and innovative updates to current offerings, as well as help support our customers. This is very much a player/coach, with a roughly 70/30 ratio of coding to management. A key focus will be your ability to support and grow a distributed code base of embedded, networking, web, and QA stacks. You’ll have a relentless focus on user experience and quality — and we will need you to be laser-focused on helping your team build the features that will have the biggest impact on Mixhalo’s customers and their users, all the while striving for a customer experience that exemplifies consistent reliability and peak performance.
You will:
- Contribute early in product planning, providing feedback on specs and roadmap planning
- Manage 5-10 engineers across multiple platforms and multiple products
- Lead standups, run sprints, and implement engineering tools and frameworks.
- Take primary ownership of 1 of our 3 main code bases (Web stack, Mobile stack or Embedded Stack);
- Own and regularly update product roadmaps with key hypotheses and milestones, determining and deploying the resources necessary to support these roadmaps
Ideal Candidate:
- BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of engineering management experience
- Knowledge of and experience with Java, Swift, Javascript, C/C++, among others
- Experience working with hardware platforms or embedded devices
- Fundamental understanding of wireless technologies (WiFi and BT)
- Love for building products and features from the ground up, as well as the experience to master and maintain an existing code base.
- A highly collaborative attitude – you’ll support and/or lead a team of engineers and also work with our business team to constantly develop products that meet users’ needs.
- A passion for music and other live events (bonus points for experience working in the audio space)
