We are searching for an experienced Director, Workforce Cybersecurity Programs


Job Purpose:

Direct the day-to-day management of the Collin College AAS Cybersecurity and BAT Cybersecurity programs. Maintain accreditation standards as well as meet SACSOC standards and principles. Facilitate staffing, assist with budget preparation and maintenance, facilitate curriculum development, recruitment, advising, and program marketing.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Participate with the Associate Dean and Dean in strategic and academic cycle planning at the college, division, program, advisory committee and course levels, including the updating and maintenance of Cybersecurity labs.
  • Develop the master schedule across the district for all Cybersecurity courses assigning the appropriate lab space based on course learning needs.
  • Direct day to day management and evaluation of the program, associate faculty and staff, facilities and resources to accomplish safe and effective program delivery and coordination of division activities and projects.
  • Assist the Associate Dean in the on-going, systematic evaluation of the division, program, curriculum, learning resources, and student learning outcomes including production and preservation of program/student records.
  • Facilitate management and planning of program budget. Work with the Associate Dean to make budget requests and recommendations. Ensure program remains within identified budgets. Assist the Academic Dean in the fiscal planning and management of the program and its resources.
  • Assist the Associate Dean with event opportunities such as Hack-a-thons, career fairs, and other industry events.
  • Maintain accurate and complete program records including curriculum and resource evaluation and development, systematic evaluation, course evaluation, student evaluation, and accreditation documents.
  • Maintain regulatory compliance associated with the program’s field of practice and education, including implementation of college policy and division and program procedures, compliance with the Texas Higher Education Coordination Board standards and compliance with appropriate regulatory and educational accreditation standards including production of accreditation self-study documents and reports.
  • Assist the Associate Dean in the operation of faculty search committees and recommend to the Associate Dean full-time faculty, adjunct faculty and staff hires
  • Foster positive human relations and team work among faculty, staff, and students and across all programs and college services.
  • Manage appropriate student admission, advisement, progression, graduation, certification, and licensing processes for the program.
  • Attend and participate in professional development activities and participates in service to the college, including college graduation.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Perform all duties and maintain all standards in accordance with college policies, procedures and Core Values.


Required Qualifications:

Master’s degree in Cybersecurity or similar discipline from a regionally accredited institution and five (5) years of industry experience required.

OR
A combination of 10 years’ industry and academic experience may be substituted for the minimum requirements.


Licenses and Certifications

Relevant Cybersecurity certifications.

Physical Demands and Working Conditions:

Light Work – Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly having to move objects. If the use of arm and/or leg controls requires exertion of forces greater than that for the Sedentary Work category and the worker sits most of the time, the job is rated Light Work. Positions in this class typically include talking, hearing, seeing, grasping, standing, walking and repetitive motions, plus stooping, kneeling, crouching, and reaching. Relatively free from unpleasant environmental conditions or hazards. Office environment. Little physical effort required.

Compensation Range: $76,957.00 – 88,501.00
