Operations Director
Job Summary:
Under the direction of the Chief Professional Officer, the Operations Director is responsible for the administration of a variety of Club functions. This individual is accountable for the basic operations on certain important tasks, local community relations, and operational duties. The ideal candidate will be a passionate leader who is genuinely interested in BGCD’s work and committed to the mission of the organization. It is a salaried position.
Responsibilities:
- Demonstrating leadership in interpreting the organizations policies, strategies, and plans and sees that the implementation of agency procedures are formulated and executed.
- Accountable for developing, implementing and monitoring all fiscal transactions and systems.
- Oversee Area Director which supervise 15 sites.
- Responsible for the direction of the OJP program. including staff supervision.g staff.
- Responsible for BGCD membership program, including supervising membership staff.
- Responsible for BGCD transportation program, supervise field trips, insure vehicles are in safe working order.
- Help in the special discipline of club members and parental involvement.
- Handle Injuries, complete proper forms.
- Assist with implementation of Grant Programs and reporting.
- Maintains a close relationship with organizations and agencies further establish cooperative and collaborative relationships with government, community based agencies, and educational institutions.
- Assist in the Development and helps implement special events to further the image and to meet the needs of club(s).
- Accountable for assisting in the development of the Club budget, lead in monitoring and managing of the club(s) grants programs and program reporting.
- Responsible for eliminating or reducing the exposure to accidental injury or property loss through the implementation of the organization’s risk management plan.
- Establish a culture in BGCD that maintains integrity, high ethical standards, values, accountability, and performance within the individual units;
- Performs and assures other duties and responsibilities as maybe required at the direction of the Chief Professional Officer.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in education, social work, public administration, and/or other similar fields. Advanced degree preferred.
- Progressive experience and demonstrated track record in non-profit, education, and/or public sector primarily in youth development and education with at least five years’ experience.
- Demonstrated ability in building effective staff teams and financial management.
- All candidates should be familiar with mission and principles of Boys and Girls Clubs.
- Computer proficient in Microsoft Office
Normal hours for this position are 11am – 7pm Monday-Friday and 9am-6 pm Summer & Holidays
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $45,000.00 to $50,000.00 /year
