Overview:
Myriad Genetic Laboratories, Inc. (MGL) is seeking a Ph.D. or M.D. Board Certified Molecular Geneticist, or Active Candidate for the American Board of Medical Genetics and Genomics or other appropriate CLIA recognized board, to assist in the direction and management of our highly automated, world-class clinical DNA sequencing laboratory that performs testing services in predictive and personalized medicine. The successful candidate must have excellent verbal and written communication, superior molecular biology skills, and a thorough understanding of technical procedures and regulatory requirements in a clinical DNA diagnostic laboratory setting. Myriad Genetic Laboratories offers a competitive compensation package which includes relocation to scenic Salt Lake City, Utah. Title and salary will be commensurate with experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Interpretation and reporting of clinical molecular genetic test results as primarily related to hereditary cancer risk, pharmacogenetic assessment, and cancer prognosis
  • Mutation classification and critical review of the supporting scientific literature
  • Enhancement of laboratory procedures and systems to assure the highest quality clinical test results with unparalleled accuracy
  • Provide scientific and clinical assessment of emerging technologies and new product opportunities
  • Contribute to assay development and validation of new tests in a project team environment
  • Engage in scientific presentations at national meetings and peer-reviewed publication
  • Evaluate the scientific literature to support current and future test offerings

Qualifications:
PhD or MD with board certification or board eligibility in Clinical Molecular Genetics by the American Board of Medical Genetics and Genomics, or other appropriate CLIA recognized board.
