Essential Duties & Responsibilities :

  • Develop effective, trusting relationships with clients using a client-centered approach that includes motivational interviewing and harm reduction, for the purpose of removing barriers to permanent supportive housing
  • Engage, recruit, and coordinate external service providers to bring services to the campus, in close coordination with Project Director and staff
  • Ensure that clients can receive the full scope of necessary services on-site, identifying gaps and engaging community partners to meet service needs
  • Collaborate with community entities to coordinate wellness, life skills, and enrichment groups for clients, creating a diverse and engaging schedule for clients with the goal of 2-4 workshops per day
  • Engage with the community to recruit skilled volunteers and community partners for group facilitation
  • Collaborate with other agency staff and programs to provide greater support and assistance to client
  • Directly facilitate groups in areas of expertise,
  • Provide guidance and support to staff as it relates to external and community services to client in coordination with their service plans
  • Working alongside the Project Director, collaborates with Case Managers to create a supportive environment and ensure clients’ goal progress through group participation
  • Participate in all staff meetings, trainings, and retreats, to ensure close coordination on client care
  • Communicate effectively, and in a timely manner, with management, peers, collaborators, and clients
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Minimum of one (1) year experience in management
  • Minimum of one (1) year experience facilitating groups and/or community engagement
  • Minimum of one (1) year experience in Case Management, preferred
  • Skilled in non-violent crisis intervention
  • Commitment to Harm Reduction, Housing First, and trauma-informed care philosophies
  • Strong interpersonal and team building skills
  • Ability to be on-call
  • Ability to work on a week-end day, on a rotation basis with other management team members
  • Demonstrated knowledge of issues faced by population served
  • Committed to improving the community through empowerment and dignity
  • Detail oriented with excellent time management, organizational, written, verbal, interpersonal, presentation, team building and computer skills
  • Ability to self-motivate and be flexible in a fast paced environment


Education Requirements:
:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

Licensure/Certification::

  • Valid CA Driver’s License and car required for travel when needed to carry out job-related duties.
