To strengthen our Market Access & Pricing team, based in the eastern half of the United States, we are looking for a talented individual to fill the position of Area Director Field Reimbursement.
As an Area Director Field Reimbursement, you will be responsible for overseeing the activities of a group of Field Reimbursement Managers (FRM’s) to minimize access and other barriers to UCB medications therapy for patients & providers obtained via a patient’s medical benefit and or pharmacy benefit.

- Create and sustain high-performing teams.
- Demonstrate your knowledge of “Buy and Bill” (medical benefit) and “Self-Administered” (pharmacy benefit) specialty medications, and understanding from a patient, healthcare professional, supply chain and insurance perspective.
You will contribute by:
- Building and leading teams of 6-7 high-performing Field Reimbursement Managers (FRM) to ensure priorities and activities are aligned with UCB strategies to support patients and healthcare providers access to UCB Medications.
- Developing educational content with Learning and Development to build team members knowledge about product-specific coverage, coding and payment dynamics, UCB support programs and other areas impacting patients, healthcare professionals and UCB medications.
- Complying with all laws, regulations and policies that govern the conduct of UCB employees and activities and collaborating with Legal, Regulatory, and Compliance partners to ensure compliant interactions with external stakeholders.
- Identifying reimbursement-specific opportunities or issues impacting patient access to UCB medications, as well as educating internal partners on these dynamics.
- Working in the assigned territory of the Eastern half of the United States.
- Communicating regularly with the cross-functional Regional Director and National leadership to seek feedback on the team’s focus and performance, provide proactive updates and seek innovative initiatives to help Patients access to UCB medications.
- Traveling up to 70%, including overnight, as necessary.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- 10+ years of commercial experience in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry.
- 8+ years of pharmaceutical or biotech experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in Healthcare Provider Reimbursement, Payer Relations or Account Management.
- MBA preferred.
- Experience in creating and sustaining high performing teams.
