Work Schedule: 40 hours per week (9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.)
RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS
Duties: Vice President with Goldman Sachs Services LLC in Jersey City, NJ. Build a digital platform which will improve client experience, automate and enhance workflows, and reduce risk in the market making businesses. Conduct systems feasibility studies, prototype, and develop early-stage solutions to build efficient real-time workflow tools using data-driven insights from usage patterns. Ensure strict adherence to IT service design principles for application availability, change control, configuration management, risk, issue and quality management. Apply knowledge of vast technical stack including open source industry standards and internal platforms to develop a cutting edge platform. Develop intuitive and relevant analytics to optimize business leaders’ decision making and convert data-driven insights into action by embedding analytics into workflow tools. Model financials to build Internal Rate of Return (IRR), Total Cost of Ownership (TCO), Return on Investment (ROI), and Net Present Value (NPV) models to assess the commercial value of technology investments. Design cost recovery and chargeback models to allocate digital application costs to the business. Liaise with global stakeholders to ensure consistent and effective long-term digital strategy.
Job Requirements: Bachelor’s degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field. Five (5) years of experience in the job offered or in a related position. Prior experience must include five (5) years: managing solutions and platform development using software development lifecycle principles, agile methodologies, and IT service design management; working in a back-office setting interfacing with sales and operations to understand client onboarding and document storage problems along with regulatory requirements; developing system design studies, value proposition, and cost/benefit analyses; assimilating broad ranging customer expectations and converting them into tangible deliverables; facilitating project scope definition and project plan development, including initiation, planning, execution, monitoring and control, budget, and resource plan; implementing effective project governance and risk management strategies for large scale projects; developing software using SDLC and agile methodologies including sprints, adaptive planning, and iterative development cycles; partnering with engineering, development and operational teams to re-engineer processes using BPMN principles to improve efficiency and reduce operational risk; utilizing understanding of application infrastructure, scalability requirements and systems monitoring tools for product and technical design for internal and client-facing tools; modeling API architecture using object oriented programming concepts and unified modeling language (UML); structuring and modeling multiple related data sources using entity relationship (ER) modeling, structured query language (SQL), and relational data management concepts; actively analyzing and managing bugs and issues enabling successful go-lives using issue tracking and agile software development tools [JIRA and JIRA Query Language (JQL)]; utilizing knowledge of web development technologies such as HTTP, Javascript, and AngularJS; coaching & mentoring more junior staff in the team on various design and development activities; working with Java; and working with Linux. Prior experience must include three (3) years: working with Sybase; working with Spring; and working with Workflow and Rules.
