Firm

Risk Management (FRM) enables Morgan Stanley to achieve its business goals by

partnering with business units across the Firm to realize efficient

risk-adjusted returns, acting as a strategic advisor to the Board and

protecting the Firm from exposure to losses as a result of credit, market,

liquidity, operational, model and other risks.

Our

You

will collaborate with colleagues across FRM and the Firm to protect

the Firm’s capital base and franchise, advise businesses and clients on risk

mitigating strategies, develop tools and methodologies to analyze and monitor

risk, contribute to key regulatory initiatives and report on risk exposures and

metrics to enable informed and strategic decision-making. Through thoughtful

Morgan Stanley seeks a Vice President level

candidate to join the Firm’s Risk Identification program. The Risk

Identification program at Morgan Stanley monitors risk trends across all risk

types and businesses and informs the Firm’s risk management and capital

planning processes. This role involves being a key member of the central

coordination team for risk identification process that works with business

units and control groups across the Firm. This position offers opportunities to

gain exposure to all aspects of risk management and capital planning.

Primary job responsibilities include:

  • Implement standards for the

Firm’s Risk Identification Framework- Work with stakeholders

across Lines of Business, Risk Management and Finance to develop, maintain and

update the risk inventory- Monitor risk trends across

all risk types and businesses, recognize and review new or emerging risks and

analyze linkages between risks- Inform the Firm’s capital

planning process by evaluating the Firm’s risk profile in the context of potential

stress- Coordinate ongoing

enhancements to the Risk Identification Framework including improvements to

underlying technology- Manage governance of the

risk identification process, including execution of review and challenge processes- Produce documentation and

presentations to effectively communicate key information to senior management

and regulators- Ensure adherence to regulatory guidance and best practices

Skills Required

  • Bachelor’s Degree (Minimum)
  • Attention to detail and

ability to prioritize projects and workload- Experience working under

pressure and performing to tight deadlines- Strong interpersonal and

communication skills, written and verbal- Excellent academic background- Proven relationship building skills- Strong product and business knowledge across

different asset classes
