Position Summary:

The Vice President of Sales & Marketing will manage all brands, distribution channels, and deployment of sales for the organization by developing strategic sales plans based on company goals. H/She will focus on the end-to-end customer experience and have the ability to achieve sales initiatives and targeted growth rates through the on-going training and development of the sales and marketing team.

H/She will work closely with the COO to deliver a best in class experience. These two key leaders will work closely to ensure the seamless delivery of the vision, with any changes being frequently and transparently communicated to business partners/stakeholders.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities (Include, but not limited to):

  • Business and market development, customer management, customer satisfaction, management of market research, sales growth, and strategic direction for promotion and advertising.
  • Participate with other senior managers in developing strategy for the entire company.
  • Determine & monitor the department’s key performance indicators (KPIs) such as revenue vs. plan, contact rate, quote closure rate and gross profit percentage.
  • Analyze KPIs vs. thresholds and competitors/industry data to determine the effectiveness of the sales organization and implement changes when necessary.
  • Develop a deep understanding of the Triumph customer; identify opportunities to improve the customer experience and build customer loyalty.
  • Design, both forward & backward-looking, measures, aligned to key objectives, to bring visibility and accountability to every contributor of the sales team from front-end sales to ongoing account management.
  • Assists with complex sales proposals and negotiations, attends sales presentations and helps close sales deals.
  • Maintain a strong, visible sales pipeline with appropriate paths for prospecting, quoting, and follow-up.
  • Directly manage very large, high-profile customer accounts, as appropriate.
  • Develop, in line with company expectations, and oversee a sales training program for new and existing employees through the utilization of real time feedback and continuous coaching.
  • Continuously work to identify top talent and nurture those relationships, both internally and externally.
  • Communicate results, recommendations, and concerns with all stakeholders on a regular basis.

Job Requirements:

  • Master’s Degree in Sales, Marketing, Advertising, Finance or business-related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of sales leadership experience ideally in a business-to-business, fast-paced sales environment.
  • Experience with CRM Software (specifically Salesforce) and other sales technology.
  • Strategic leader with a passion for problem solving & delivering results; consistently strives to stay ahead of market trends.
  • Highly developed people skills – leading, training, supervising, motivating, counseling and negotiating.
  • Highly developed data skills – analysis, synthesis, reporting and decision making.
  • Excellent verbal and non-verbal communication skills; ability to interface with customers.
