VP of Sales

ITB Packaging, is an innovative leader in the manufacturing of proprietary in the box dividers for the packaging industry. We are currently seeking a VP of Sales to lead our Sales & Design team. Position is based in Holland, Michigan. Established in 2011, ITB is fast growing, entrepreneurial based company that is looking to expand into new vertical markets & expand globally. Currently, most of our sales are in the State of Michigan, with large percentage in greater Detroit area. The company has recently begun its export sales into Mexico.

The VP of Sales will lead our sales efforts in the Automotive Market, which is our legacy vertical market, as well leading our sales efforts in additional vertical markets such as Wine & Spirit, Food &
Beverage, e-commerce, etc. This position will support our Independent Brokers, channel partners, and lead our direct sales initiatives. This position will also play critical role in Marketing and New Product

Position Overview:

The VP of Sales will drive all the external sales activity via work with our existing & future Independent
Brokers, Channel Partners, as well as grow our current direct sales. VP of sales will help create lead generation, marketing campaigns, and drive pricing programs. VP of sales will work in a cross- functional team in order to design and innovate products. He or she will be the face of the company to our customers, brokers, and channel partners. The VP of sales will also oversee our design team. This position will report directly to the President & CEO.

  • The VP of Sales will be responsible for driving the revenue generation, margin profile, and be involved in achieving the revenue and net income goals for the company.
  • The role requires travel domestically, and to Mexico. The % of travel is yet to be determined but will require significant travel requirements.
  • The role will also require attending trade shows, summits, customer visits, etc.
  • The position must work with other departments in order to best design new products, including sales, marketing, and product development.
  • The position will need to have a leading role in product brainstorming, researching, and discussions about different products, substrates, and technology.
  • The position will require managing internal and external sales representatives, brokers, channel partners.
  • This position will be part of our executive team.
  • The position will fulfill other duties as assigned and company continues to expand.

Job Requirements:

  • A 4-year bachelor’s degree is required for this position.
  • At least 10 years of experience in Packaging Sales & Sales Management. Experience in the corrugated packaging industry would be a strong benefit.

  • A self-starter who can carve out a sales strategy and successfully implement & execute that strategy.
  • Selling value added or differentiated solutions is preferred sales history.
  • Proven background in expeditiously growing revenues and expanding markets served.
  • Exposure to automotive sector a plus.
  • Problem-solving skills and ability to multi task are critical skills needed to be successful.
  • A strong proficiency in CRM programs or development is highly desired.
  • Ability to present in front of a large audience, executive team, and board members.
  • Team concept, collaboration, are key to ITB culture.
