Client is seeking an experienced Vice President to run the Product and Solutions Marketing organization. This position reports directly to the Chief Marketing Officer (CMO). In this role, you will manage all aspects of our global product and solutions marketing strategy. You will be responsible for managing a team of product/solutions marketing managers and technical evangelists who are collectively responsible for driving strategy, content, marketing and evangelism.
The goal of the team is to:
- Develop industry leading product/solutions strategy, positioning and messaging;
- Develop innovative content to support the execution of successful global demand generation campaigns, and
- Help develop a differentiated and thought leading corporate story.
The successful candidate must be a strong spokesperson and have a solid track record of developing solutions and corporate messaging. The right candidate must be an exceptional leader with strong partnering skills, possess a keen understanding of corporate marketing, campaigns and be fluent in a metrics-driven organization.
Responsibilities:
- Build and lead a team of experienced product/solutions marketing managers and technical evangelists
- Drive strategy, content development and field enablement across products and solutions
- Develop compelling content and collaborate to support execution of integrated marketing campaigns
- Help develop and communicate the corporate story that resonates with customers, partners and employees
- Serve as thought leader, storyteller and spokesperson to bring corporate positioning to life
- Work with Global Campaigns, Corporate Marketing and Communications teams to up level Riverbedâs position and drive understanding and excitement of Riverbedâs solutions both internally and externally
- Must understand trends in the networking industry and apply those to create differentiated corporate and solutions messaging. Work closely with brand and communications team to tell the most effective story.
- Build and maintain strong rapport and ongoing communications with Customers, Partners, Prospects, sales and marketing teams.
- Bachelorâs degree in Marketing, Business or a technical field; an MBA degree is a plus.
- 15+ years marketing experience in a high-tech company. Previous experience as a VP and/or senior director in a lead marketing role with responsibilities for product or solutions marketing
- Strong leadership and management skills, previously managed a team of 10 or more individuals along with multi-level management.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong collaboration skills with demonstrated ability to partner with diverse stakeholders
- Spokesperson experience and track record of working with press.
- Self-starter, leads and facilitates management of details needed to accomplish tasks; simultaneous management of several programs and initiatives.
- Networking, Storage or enterprise platform experience preferred.
