Fluoropolymer Resources (FRL) is a value-added supplier of reprocessed melt fluoropolymers committed to continuously advancing the application and reliability of these materials. We are a growing company that is seeking to add valuable people to our expanding team.
Overview/ Objective Summary
The Vice President of Manufacturing and Operations ensures that appropriate resources are allocated to achieve strategic and financial and business objectives. This person leads and directs the manufacturing operations function, to obtain optimum productivity, while reaching strategic objectives. The VP will report directly to the President and collaborate with the VP of Sales and Marketing and the VP of Engineering to promote the ambitions and goals set by the team.
Key Responsibilities Include
- Hire, train, develop and evaluate employees in a fair and consistent manner. Provide leadership for the operations team through effective communication, coaching, training and development.
- Contribute to the implementation and enhancement of the company’s Quality Management System. Ensure employees are aware of and trained in the quality systems and create, improve, and implement company processes and procedures that enhance the Quality Management System.
- Actively involved with management and employees in establishing and maintaining an effective workplace safety program.
- Ensure inventory and shipping/ receiving functions are operating at levels which meet company and customer needs. Develops and enforces policies and procedures that accurately identify, preserve and safeguard company inventory.
- Direct production planning and control activities so that products are manufactured on meeting customer schedule expectations, established quality standards and cost objectives.
- Actively drives and promotes a culture of continuous improvement regarding; safety, quality, cost, and speed. Works closely with employees at all levels to engage in the initiation, development and refinement of these improved processes.
Qualifications/ Requirements
VP needs to have demonstrated leadership, planning and decision-making skills. The successful candidate is required to have strong oral and written communication skills. VP needs extensive ERP systems background and basic understanding of MS Office.
Education/ Training/ Experience
Minimum 10 – 15 years of experience in management in a manufacturing environment. Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Business Administration or Engineering with a concentration in operations management is desirable.
