Job Description

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

You’re responsible for achieving the financial goals for all things F&B for Remington (~$200 million+ in gross sales) through strategic marketing plans, revenue management strategies, operating and guest service standards, expense controls, and talent management. Ultimately, you’re a strategist, collaborator, creative problem-solver, strong communicator, and people-focused leader. You will be responsible for all things banquets, catering, room service, grab n go, outlets, restaurants (owned & leased), bars and F&B partnerships.

WHAT YOU WILL DELIVER:

  • Regular hotel visits to ensure that all aspects of the business are running smoothly and that you’re connecting with the on-property teams.
  • Proactively develop strong relationships with 3rd-party hotel ownership/asset managers with emphasis on partnership, goal alignment, and provide coaching/support for your teams to do the same.
  • Support the Executive Team in the development and evaluation of new Remington hotels.
  • Support the Chief Operating Officer in market analysis, review and research, restaurant + bar concept creation, and presentation to ownership groups.
  • Support the Chief Investment Officer and Business Development Team in evaluating new growth opportunities and presentations to prospective ownership groups.
  • Recruit, develop, and evaluate management talent to maintain a full pipeline for upcoming openings.
  • Provide the team with operational support, ongoing coaching, professional development, quarterly check-ins, and ensure accountability with a focus on succession planning.
  • Continued training and engagement, orchestrate menu, kitchen, and operational training for all outlets.
  • Work with DVP of Operations, DOSs, GMs, and Exec Chefs to manage restaurant P&L and assist them in analysis.
  • Lead and support annual budget and capital planning.
  • Play an active role during the pre and post opening of new restaurants including hiring/recruiting and training.
  • Maintain strong industry network and local market knowledge for each restaurant within region.

Requirements

WHAT YOU BRING:

  • 5+ years as a multi-unit or restaurant regional senior leader, preferably at the VP level.
  • Creative and experienced with marketing and promotional strategies.
  • Extensive working knowledge of the food and beverage industry (independent and hotels) and consistent record of success.
  • Strong negotiation skills, as well as strong verbal and written communication capabilities.
  • Exceptional understanding of hotel and independent restaurant systems and processes.
  • The ability to think strategically and analytically, demonstrating sensitivity to brand issues of the core food concepts and profitability, with a participative “all in” attitude.
  • Strong command of financial statements and ability to understand, interpret, and analyze financial and cost management data.
  • Track-record and experience in restaurant openings and transitions.
  • Experience in leading and running daytime and nightlife operations within a hotel or standalone environment (a plus).
  • Flexibility to travel 50-75% of the time.
