TransCore – Amtech Systems, LLC (AMS), a subsidiary of Roper Technologies, Inc, (NYSE:ROP) is seeking a full-time VP, Domestic Toll Marketing to join our leadership team.

Job Summary: The VP, Domestic Toll Marketing will be a key member of the leadership team. The role’s emphasis will be on marketing new product capabilities and business model to senior toll agency decision makers.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Business plan development and execution
  • Writes teaming agreements, contracts, letters of understanding, etc.
  • Identifies, pursues and recommends companies for purchase
  • Negotiates, to execution, multimillion-dollar sales contracts.
  • Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel.
  • Identifies, specifies, justifies and sponsors new product development.
  • Monitors activities of Business Development Managers on a daily and weekly basis.
  • Makes sales calls with other Managers, both internal to the dept and from other business segments.
  • Makes presentations to Board, customers, business groups and organizations.
  • Works with Product Development on product needs, development and pricing.
  • Meets with and recruits Channel partners.
  • Utilizes knowledge of TransCore business/products and local/regional markets to identify and pursue opportunities.
  • Maintains knowledge of and relationship with local agencies (perspective clients).
  • Manages 2-30 employees, some through subordinate supervisors.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Minimum of 20 years in toll sector engineering and marketing.
  • Minimum 15 years in sales and marketing
  • Advanced product knowledge required
  • Strong financial/budget management
  • Working knowledge of database software (Access, etc)
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Strong leadership and management skills
  • Advanced MS Office skills including excellent Power Point and presentation skills.
  • Strong business acumen.
  • Ability to collaborate and build strong relationships at all levels inside and outside of the organization.
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills.

Education:

Master’s degree (M. A.), or equivalent combination of education and experience.
